Connect an assistant
Jay speaks the Model Context Protocol, so an AI assistant can read your budget and — with your say-so each time — change it. Logging a purchase becomes something you can say out loud.
The address
Paste this into your assistant's connector settings — whatever it calls adding a custom or remote connector. Leave the client ID and secret blank; it registers itself. You will be brought back here to sign in and approve it, and after that it works on your phone too.

What it can do
A connected assistant can read everything in your Jay — what you have spent, what is scheduled, what you have set aside — through 23 read-only tools, and it can make changes. Your assistant asks you before each change; this is in addition to that.
Recording what happened — a purchase, some income, a correction, money into or out of a pot — is ordinary. Nothing in Jay is ever really deleted, so a mistake can be put back.
Changing how your budget works is not ordinary, and Jay treats it differently. An amount, a share of your income, where a pot stops filling, what is scheduled to leave your account, how income is counted: before any of those can be written, the assistant has to work out what the change does and show you. Jay refuses the change otherwise — not as a warning it can click past, but as a refusal, and it has to say in its own words what you agreed to.
It cannot, at all:
- accept a privacy policy or terms on your behalf
- delete your account, or start or end a demo
- write your reasons for saving — those are yours to author, and Jay will not generate one
- reach any account but this one
Disconnecting takes effect on the next request it makes, not whenever its access happens to expire.
